Bio:Basing her game around a brilliant two-handed backhand, fast feet and strong defensive skills, former world No. 1 Jelena Jankovic reached the final of the 2008 U.S. Open, losing to Serena Williams 6-4, 7-5. The Belgrade-born baseliner has contested five other major semifinals, including her first at the U.S. Open in 2006 where she led Justine Henin before losing. Known for bringing drama, injury timeouts and her signature smile to the court, the Serbian star collected her biggest title at the 2010 Indian Wells. She partnered Jamie Murray to win the 2007 Wimbledon Mixed Doubles title. Jankovic has won 12 singles titles.
