Given the amazing year she’s had, Carly Rae Jepsen would definitely be justified in dropping some serious cash on herself for Christmas, but instead she snagged her dad a very special present.
The “Call Me Maybe” babe told press, “I’m getting him the same guitar that James Taylor plays. And I’m getting it engraved.”
And while the gift may seem a little mild for such a red-hot chart-topper, Jepsen has a specific reason for selecting the high-priced axe for her proud papa.
She explained, "My dad used to play guitar for me before bed and I used to kind of fall asleep listening to his songs. It'll be fun to return the favor and say, 'Here's your dream guitar!' "
As for what lies ahead, Carly gushed, "I hope [2013] is as big an adventure as 2012 has been, but in a different way. I want to continue to song write and tour. I want to keep growing and improving as much as I can."
